In a recent study conduct by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) of the United States Department of Transportation, it was determined that "Driver Behavior Causes Most Truck Crashes". The study found that drivers involved in truck crashes "are ten times more likely to be the cause of the accident than other factors, such as weather, road conditions, and vehicle performance".

With the tremendous increase in truck crashes occurring in New Mexico, and the corresponding increase in deaths and serious injuries because of this, you do not want to rely on local law enforcement to get the investigation of the accident right.    You want to contact ELLIOTT & ASSOCIATES, Ltd to investigate the matter and preserve the evidence for you.    We are prepared to respond to truck crashes anywhere in New Mexico, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.  We can timely document the scene and gather physical evidence overlooked or ignored by the local law enforcement personnel.

We can locate and interview: witnesses, law enforcement personnel, emergency responders, tow truck operators and others to get timely statements before memory fades.     It is also important to respond quickly in order to document the accident scene as to any construction, poor pavement maintenance or improper signage and/or stripping which may have been a contributing factor to the crash.

Many accident investigators rely on the vehicles Black Box to provide them with the answers to what happened.   However, the vehicles Black Box (Event Data Recorder and/or Engine Control Module) information may be incorrect because of vehicle factors, or may not even pertain to the specific accident in question.   This is why immediate on scene investigation is important to the factual determination as to who or what caused the crash.

Personnel with ELLIOTT & ASSOCIATES, Ltd. have received training in motor vehicle accident investigation and have received advanced and specialized training in the analysis of Black Box data, as well as issues related to rollovers, tire failure, restraint systems, roadway design and maintenance.
